- I've just resolved the issue. For some odd reason the files you get either
- from Web site or ftp site are corrupt. Their lenght is 43953 for Vi modems.
- If you get the file off the BBS, it's length is 44616. That's the right
- lenght and Windows 95 has nor problem identifying the modem afther the right
- file copied into your Inf directory.

- The only way to get the file to load right via FTP is to set up *BINARY*
- mode for your ftp client. It seems that the file contains some special
- characters needed for modem set-up which are dropped by ASCII type transfer.

- I am not sure if there is a way to do it via the Web, since it assumes it's
- an ASCII file.
